“What they don't want them to see or know. How our educational system keeps them blind to our history, our struggles, and holds them back to what they are capable of in the future

“Kids are the future we hear this all the time. But in our community, it means something very different. We have the same ambition for our children however it's often covered with fear because the system is designed for them to be in chains to be drowned in our community. We often try to keep hope for our kids and hope they can achieve success themselves, but their growth is being stagnant. The same people that fear our kids, are the ones that created the chains. So, what future do they have to look forward to. A good career, fair employment, being judge by their character, or surviving a traffic stop, store run...Better education is needed.”
